Advent is Almost here!
Here are 3 impactful ways for your family to make the most out of this liturgical season with beautiful Catholic books for kids.
A wonderful tradition to begin in the family is a “Christmas Book Basket.”
Join thousands of other Catholic families by building a basket for all your family’s Christmas and Advent books. Keep them packed away in a special box for most of the year – pull the box out on the first Sunday of Advent and arrange them in a lovely basket. Put them away on the feast of the Epiphany, January 6th and start the tradition of looking forward to these books each year!
Select beautiful new Advent and Christmas books to give as Christmas gifts and then add to your selection to continue building your basket every year!
We recommend ordering by November 12th to ensure your books arrive in time for the first Sunday of Advent on December 1st.
Kick off the beginning of Advent in a fun and festive way, celebrating the Feast of St. Nicholas! On December 6, have your children set out a pair of shoes for “St. Nicholas” to fill with Advent and Catholic-themed toys and trinkets, oranges, chocolate gold coins, and Christmas or Advent themed books (which can later be added to your Christmas Book Basket). Check out The Miracle of St. Nicholas to teach your children more about the generous Bishop!
Here is an example of the St. Nicholas Book Tradition:
Create or purchase an Advent wreath to use with your family and teach your children about Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Light the candle for each week of Advent and gather together to recite Advent prayers as a family.
